I write a lot about results in magical work and there’s a good reason for it. People want results and one of the reasons people practice magic is to get results. And that is important…yet I what think is equally important is that magic is nourishing for your soul.

Magic creates reality and if we’re creating reality, transmuting possibilities into realizations, then what we transmute ought to feed our souls as well. Sometimes that happens, but what about when it doesn’t? When I practice magic, I want it to inspire me and help me connect with the depths and heights of this experience called life.

There’s another side to this as well. When you’re taking care of yourself, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, the magic you weave is more effective. While I’ll always recommend that people draw on their life force as little as possible when working magic, I also think that the way we take care of ourselves contributes to the effectiveness of our magic.

For example, if you’re not taking good care of your body, it’s going to be harder to do the magical work. Yes, you can do magic that doesn’t draw on your life force, but you still have to put some effort and energy into what you are doing. The way you take care of yourself matters and contributes to the magical work. So with that in mind, I have 5 suggestions for you that can help you with nourishing yourself and be made into part of your magical work.

Get enough sleep (and do dream work)

Sleep is essential, but a lot of people don’t get enough of it. They try to ignore the needs of sleep, or get wrapped up in the glowing screen and then wake up the next day exhausted.

If you were to simply dedicate yourself to getting enough sleep, you would improve your health because you would be prioritizing the need for rest. And the benefit of that rest is you have more energy during your day, and you are able to focus better.

Your magic is more potent as well. Getting enough sleep means you dream more, which allows you to connect to your imagination and creativity. This in turn feeds into your magical work, producing better results.

Integrate your magical practice into your daily self-care routines

When I’m brushing my teeth, it’s not just a matter of brushing my teeth. It’s also a spiritual purification, using the act of brushing to focus my awareness on how I take care of myself.

When I stretch in the morning, I’m not just stretching my body. I’m waking my energy up.

You have self-care routines that you do each day. Make them magical. Put some purpose and intention into them and you will make your life magical.

What routines can you make more magical in your life?

Your exercise is a ritual

Whether you’re lifting at the gym, going for a hike or practicing a martial arts technique, these exercises can be made into ritual.

Take a moment to consider what you want to connect your exercise to. Call in a spirit, or visualize a sigil. Then start exercising, letting the effort you put into the exercise fuel your magical work.

You were already going to make that effort. Put it to good use, and apply it to your magic.

Learn the Path of Low Effort Magic

Magic doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective.

But so many magicians think they have to have the right magical tools, know the right words, and otherwise expend a lot of effort to get results.

They get caught up in needless complexity. The result is a lot of wasted effort, and sometimes not even the result the magician wants.

But there is a different way...

In Low Effort Magic, you’ll learn how to turn your everyday actions into powerful magical workings—eliminating the need for complex rituals while still getting consistent results.

What You’ll Learn:

  • What Low Effort Magic is and how it works.

  • How to transform mundane activities into magical workings.

  • How to use focused attention as a powerful magical tool.

Your Creativity is Alchemical

Your creativity, in whatever form it comes, is part of how you mediate the magic of the universe.

You don’t have to be a writer or a painter to be creative. Creativity comes in many forms. For example, I know an electrical engineer who is one of the most creative people I know. His creativity comes out in the form of taking something that exists and improving on it. It’s a magical process of reinvention.

To make your creativity part of your magic is easy. When I paint or write I consider the creative action a magical working. It’s magic because I’m tapping into the forces of imagination and turning them into reality.

Let your magic land

You don’t have to do magic all the time. Do a magical working and then let it land in your life, your body, your identity and being.

When we’re always doing magic, but not taking time to let it land and become part of our being, we’re actually getting stuck in the magic.

It’s hard to manifest results if you’re not providing the space for those results to integrate into your life.

Conclusion

The way you take care of yourself matters. If you want to get better results with your magic, start by taking care of yourself so that when you work your magic your fully showing up and present with what you are creating.

And if you want to learn an innovative system that takes your everyday actions and turns them into magical work, sign up for Low Effort Magic, where I’ll show you how to get magical results with your mundane routines.
