How to reclaim your attention in a world of distractions
We live in a world of distractions and each person’s attention is a finite resource that is used to navigate the day. For the magician, attention is a potent tool that can be used to manifest results.
Attention is also the key to your creativity.
What you focus on is what you create or consume. Many people are consumers. Whether they’re consuming streaming shows, doom scrolling on social media or getting wrapped up in the latest sensational news or fad, it is very east to capture people’s attention and in the process steal their power of creativity.
And let’s face it: It’s not in the interest of the powers that be to have people creating on their own. Consumers are passive, accepting, and willing to look the other way. Creators are active, engaged, and want a better world, instead of settling for the crumbs.
When the magician has control of their attention, they can move the world around them and manifest results that transform their lives. When the magician’s attention is hijacked and drained, the ability to manifest goes right out the window.

Attention is part of the Eros of creativity
When you think of Eros, you might think of the erotic urge, and that is part of the mystery of Eros, but Eros is more than that. Eros is the creative impulse, the movement that goes through all of us and creates transformation because of what it inspires within us.
Reclaiming your attention from the world around you also reclaims your connection to the Eros of creativity and allows you to focus on manifesting the world you want to live in, instead of passively accepting the world that’s being spoon fed to humanity by corporations, politicians, and other expressions of consumerism.
One of the ways you can reclaim your attention is by creating a magical entities. Magical entities are also known as thought forms or servitors. They are created to perform specific tasks for the magician, so that the magician doesn’t have to take on that task. The value of creating and working with a magical entity is that the entity takes on the task for you and frees up your valuable time and attention so you can focus it elsewhere.
For example, Taylor created an entity called Sped Limt. Sped Limt helps Taylor to be a safer and better driver, while also helping him be aware of the police, fire trucks, ambulances and construction. Sped Limt focuses Taylor’s attention on the road and being aware of his car and what’s going on around him.
In this age of distraction, its easy to get caught up in phone notifications and other distractions. When you’re driving a car that can be dangerous for you and everyone around you. Having an entity such as Sped Limt is invaluable because it keeps you focused on the road, free of distraction and connected to manifesting a safe trip.
Sped Limt is one example of an entity that performs multiple functions, including the focusing of attention.
How your attention feeds your creative brilliance
There’s a hard truth we want to share with you: There’s no way to completely disengage your attention from the world around you. The fact is, you’ll always have your attention going somewhere.
But that doesn’t mean you can’t be selective about where your attention goes…
And when you are selective about where your attention goes, you can purposely feed your attention and inspire your creativity, while manifesting results that transform your life.
Here are twelve suggestions for how you can selectively direct your attention and feed your creativity:
Be impeccable with your attention. Practice saying NO or taking yourself out of situations that co-opt your attention.
Recall your scattered attention daily. Create a mini-ritual of recall and grounding your attention back into your being. See it as an active creative force for you to consciously direct.
Read books about topics that interest and excite you.
Watch or listen to podcast episodes from people that inspire you.
Go for a walk or run in your neighborhood or nature.
Learn a martial arts discipline.
Meditate, path work or day dream.
Play board or card games with friends.
Attend a salon on a topic of interest and get into discussions.
Paint, sculpt or otherwise get involved in an art project.
Listen to music that lights you up.
Attend a class or experience that excites your inspiration.
