Reality is negotiable
I sat with that statement the other day. I’m in an evolutionary process at the time of this writing. I’ve spent the last few months radically changing who I am, and in the process realizing just how negotiable reality can be. Yes, I’m a magician. I already know how flexible reality can be, but there is something about intentionally immersing yourself in initiatory experiences that changes everything about reality.
At the beginning of September, I did a ritual to Eros and Aphrodite on the new moon. I was on a hill overlooking the ocean and I had my status of Eros and Aphrodite with me. I also had two black and white arrows with me and a ring that I had decided to turn into an offering. The ring was both a promise of never again and a declaration of I decide.
I called the spirits into the sphere and they asked me what do you really want?
I took one arrow and planted it in the sand - “I want to continue serving the magical community, writing books, offering classes, and teaching people how to manifest their magical life.”
I took the other arrow and planted it in the sand - “I want to serve men by helping them step into their sovereign awareness and in the process show them how to become safer for themselves and everyone around them.”
The spirits were amused and responded - “If that’s what you really want, then be prepared. You’re about to go on a ride of transformation and it includes letting go of what you think you want, to truly manifest what you just shared.”

Reality is Negotiable - When you are Present
I finished the ritual and within a few days, I dropped out of the graduate school program I had applied for. I had just left my day job for that same program, but I realized neither the job nor that program was the right fit. For once in my life, I decided to pay attention to my deepest needs and longings and choose myself. I felt a weight come off my shoulders as I realized that I wasn’t, yet again, sticking with the same “safe” course, but instead actually choosing to take a chance on myself.
I chose to become present with myself, to enter fully into mutuality with my being and essence and to operate fully from the divine yes and the connection with source that I’ve continually been cultivating since 2017. I stopped resisting what was so clearly being offered to me and decided instead to receive what was offered by the spirits I had chosen to work with.
Over the next few months, I went through a series of experiences that pushed me to my limit, as I explored how to become a more assertive, direct version of myself. I trusted in and allowed the magic I had called into my life to work through me and it brought me the following experiences:
Undergoing training to improve my skills as a facilitator and coach for men by continually challenging my shadows while uncovering my gold.
Taking the green bandana up again and connecting with the right men at Convergence 9 who could push me in all the right ways to claim my assertiveness.
Choosing to trust myself and commit to a leadership experience that got covered within 24 hours of signing up for it.
Going to the experience and having the ice in my heart melt because of how deeply we worked on the body level.
This coming weekend I am going to another initiatory experience and through it wrapping up this deep and transcendental work I’ve chosen for myself, because of that magical working I did in September. I’ve done only one other major working in this time, and that working also brought to realization a current that I am exploring now.
When we become present with ourselves, on every level of our being, reality as we know it becomes negotiable.
It’s easy to do magic to “fix” problems, but the most powerful magic we can do is the magic we practice to change ourselves from the inside out. I chose to change my relationship with my reality. I called in the spirits, I planted the arrows and spoke the truth of my soul.
And I welcomed in the journey that has built off all the other work and helped me step into alignment with myself.
Reality is negotiable…
