Best practices for alchemizing money anxiety
Tip #1: Separate the Signal from the Spiral
When a money fear hits, ask:
“Is this current emotion a signal… or a spiral?”
A signal is: “Rent’s due and the numbers don’t line up.”
A spiral is: “I’ll never be okay. I’m doomed. I’m bad with money.”
We can do magic with a signal. However, we need to first soothe the spiral.
So in the moment, try this:
Place your hand on your heart.
Name the spiral: “This is a fear spiral, not a truth.”
Say: “I am with you. We’re safe enough to feel this.”
Then do one grounding action: tap, breathe, stand barefoot on the earth, run your hands under warm water.
This reclaims your agency before you cast a spell.

Tip #2: Interview the Scarcity
Ask it:
“What are you protecting me from?”
“Whose voice are you repeating?”
“What would happen if I didn’t believe this?”
Write the answers down. Let it speak like a spirit.
Scarcity often carries ancestral, cultural, or systemic truths that need witnessing before they soften.

Tip #3: Name Your Non-Financial Wealth
Take 5 minutes and list:
Relationships that nourish you
Skills or capacities you’ve earned the hard way
Access to care, wisdom, shelter, story, attention, magic
This isn’t bypass. It’s reconnection.
And often, money comes through these relationships, not outside of them.
#4: One Spell, One Statement
Write this down:
“I am allowed to receive support in this exact moment.”
That’s your spell.
Whisper it. Tap it. Draw it on your skin.
Say it every time you feel scarcity rising.
If that’s too much, try:
“I’m curious about what support might be possible.”
Curiosity is an open door. You don’t have to force belief. Just begin.
